Meet Gemelli

Mama cats are the best! Gemelli came into rescue in May, with seven one-week-old kittens and an upper respiratory infection. As her stuffy head got worse, she struggled to breathe and didn’t really want to eat, yet she took exceptional care of her large litter of kittens. She is a mellow girl who was very open and trusting with her foster mom handling her tiny babies almost constantly to help her care for them. As Gemelli’s health improved, her personality really started to shine. She wants to be a lap cat, but she defers to the kittens who tend to be the first ones taking over their foster mom’s lap. She enjoys playing with the kittens when they pounce all over her. She is so patient with them! She enjoys playing with toys, and she loves to be kissed on the forehead and scratched behind her ears. She is not thrilled with being carried around, but who is, right? When a cat food can is opened, she is so chatty. She loves to tell you that she is ready to eat, and she will try to help you serve the food. Gemelli is a delightful cat who seems to truly appreciate that she and her babies were saved. Since her spay last week, she has been spending her days in her foster mom’s home office and nights with her kids. She still loves them, but she enjoys her break from them too! She deserves a happy forever home to relax in for the next twenty years, after being such a wonderful mother. If you’re looking for a young adult cat to be your faithful companion, meet Gemelli.

Gemelli is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained.

Gemelli's adoption fee is $95.  If you are interested in meeting Gemelli, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
