Meet Ajax**NO MORE APPS**
Ajax is a 2 year old neutered Great Dane and weighed approximately 130 pounds when her first arrived with ARF.
Ajax the gentle giant…..
Ajax is a very sweet fella that will require an experienced “Large Breed” adopter with a fully fenced yard.
This big hunk of love is fully potty trained, good with other hounds, cats and children. He is NOT food aggressive but will take food off the counter if given the opportunity. He will also clean the bowls for the other cats and dogs in the house. He does NOT drool but is messy when drinking due to his Full Cheeks!
Ajax is fun, and entertains himself with his toys and loves to play in the hose! He also loves to play fetch with balls or frisbees. HE LOVES CAR RIDES! Ajax loves going for walks and walks very nice on a leash, but will tear off after squirrels, rabbits and bikes.
Ajax is petrified of bicycles…..but getting better.
Ajax is very attached to his people and makes friends at the speed of lightning! He will need to have continued training as he is still a toddler and can be mischievous. He does know sit and shake.
Ajax is currently with his foster family that includes two cats, a Shihtzu and a Doodle. (All Rescues)
The ideal Fur-EVER adopter will have another hound for Ajax to bond with as he is very much a “pack” fella. He sleeps with his pack now and thinks he is a 10 pound Shihtzu. There is no reason to crate this guy as he hasn't been in a crate since coming to ARF. Ajax is the sweetest guy around!
Ajax is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken and neutered. His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.
Ajax's adoption fee is $600. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Ajax fill out an Online Application today!
Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
