Meet Spot

**This sweet girl is looking for an adults only home with active humans who are home more often than not and who will take walks with her and play with her.  She will do best in a quiet neighborhood with a fenced yard to explore and play in between her three daily walks.  If this sounds like you, read on!

Meet Spot.  She is a Chihuahua/Beagle mix who weighs in at just over 12 pounds.  She is about two years old and finds herself looking for a new home.  Her human has been calling her Bailey, but her official ARF name is Spot.  She can be a little bit nervous at first.  Once she gets to know you, her adorable personality starts to shine, and you can see how much energy she has in that little body of hers.  She is completely housetrained and likes to go on three 20 minute walks a day, and have time in a fenced yard to play, run, and explore.  A home in a quiet neighborhood will help minimize her barking.  She will need a good deal of exercise to be a happy girl and is not good for apartment living.  This little princess likes to sit near you and loves toys, and it's even better if you are playing with her and her toys.  Spot has a thing for garbage cans, so you will need to have a plan to keep her away from them.  Spot gets along with other dogs her size, and is a bit anxious with new people at first, especially men, but will slowly warm up.  Spot would love a home with only adult human/humans who are home more often than not, and can give her all the attention she desires and deserves!  In return, she will be a very sweet forever companion.

Spot is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housetrained and spayed.  Her new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.

Spot's adoption fee is $350.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Spot fill out an Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
