Meet Phoebe

Can you believe the gorgeous markings on this sweet girl?  This is Phoebe and she’s a love of a kitty!  She came to us after she and a friend she was hanging out with were picked up as strays.  It’s clear that these were someone’s cats because they are so well cared for!  Phoebe is more sleek than her friend Paige but she is just as lovely.  In her pics you can see some fur missing on her face – she isn’t a huge fan of being in a carrier for long periods of time and during her ride up here she rubbed several spots raw on her face.  She is healing up very well and we expect that fur to grow back in no time.

Phoebe is a very playful girl.  She especially loves the little orange toy with the balls that go around and around!  She thinks every home should have one of those!  Phoebe likes being petted and combed.  So far she hasn’t been much of a lap kitty but that may change over time once she’s more comfortable.

Phoebe is being fostered with her friend Paige.  They do look alike but we do not know if they are actually related.  They do get along well together, but they do not have to be adopted together.  Either of them would be fine in a home alone or with other cats.

Phoebe is microchipped, spayed and up to date on her vaccines.  With your adoption you will receive a certificate for a free exam with one of our veterinary partners. Phoebe sits very nicely while we trim her nails.  Phoebe may not be declawed.

You can check out facebook.com/Kittenville.il where her foster mom has documented her time in foster care.

Pheobe is a female about 1 year old (as of 11/2020) who is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained.

Pheobe's adoption fee is $110.  If you are interested in meeting Pheobe, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
