Hi! My name is Peaches! My foster mom tells me that I’m absolutely gorgeous, and that I have piercing blue eyes and beautiful coloring. I sometimes look a little cross eyed like a Siamese—maybe a trait from one of my family. I wish I could tell you more about my background, but the only thing I know is that I ended up scared, pregnant and in an animal control. Then, tragically I came to my foster mom’s house and my kittens were not healthy enough to be delivered. I was petrified to even come out of my carrier, and I would try to scratch anyone who touched me! But my foster mom sat on the floor with me for hours every day, talking to me softly and bribing me with food until I felt comfortable enough to come out.
Three months later, I finally feel confident enough to sit on my cat tree and look out the window, especially at night! I am very affectionate with my foster mom, and I absolutely love to be petted. I start kneading my blanket as soon as I see her! I absolutely love my foster mom’s cats too, and I’ll put my head out for them to lick me—and one of the cats does!
Her name is Bunny, and she is also available for adoption. I would love to find a home with her, but it’s okay if you don’t have space for both of us. The house I’m living in now has a small child and dogs. I’m not too sure about either of them, and I think I would rather have a quieter home where I can more easily build my confidence.
My foster mom is going to be super cautious adopting me to the right home. She wants me to have someone who is willing to take the time to get to know me, talk to me, and encourage me to feel comfortable in my new home. I would probably do best living in just one room for a while- and maybe even hiding in a carrier- until I get to know you and don’t feel scared. It might take a few months for me to feel comfortable. I just want someone who is patient and willing to take the time to see how beautiful I am, both inside and out!

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
