Meet Snoopy

Meet Snoopy — an almost 1 year old Cattle dog/Beagle mix, weighing in around 60 pounds. He’s very friendly and likes to be by your side. He likes to play and chase toys. He also enjoys chewing on bones and tearing apart toys. If he’s bored he’ll start chewing on what’s around him, but if you sternly say no and give him a replacement (one of his toys), he’s fine and has already gotten better in the short while that he has been with his foster. He has basic training down, but could use some more. He sits and waits for his food, after a morning walk. He does fine in a crate, with occasional whining. If he wants attention and his foster can’t be fully focused on him, she just holds his paw and he’s happy. Since he’s young he still has a bit of energy in him, but spending some time in a fenced in backyard or on walks is beneficial. On walks he does best on a gentle leader. He loves interacting and playing with other dogs, so ideally would be placed in a home with another dog or be able to visit a dog park occasionally.  He still has an occasional accident but does well on a consistent potty schedule and if crated when gone for a long while.  Little kids tend to excite him and he doesn’t know how to contain it or release it properly just yet, so a home with older kids or none at all would be best. When he winds down for the night he enjoys lying by your side and being pet. In the end, he really just wants attention and to be loved!

This pup is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and neutered.  The new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  The pup's adoption fee is $300.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting this pup fill out an online application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
