Meet Dory
***NO MORE APPLICATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED***
Are you looking for unconditional love - look no further. Dory is just the right dog for you. She loves to be around her people. She is a 7 year old apricot miniature poodle who weighs in at about 10 pounds. She may have looked like a rag-a-muffin when she arrived but she has since had some pampering. She has had her teeth cleaned, several teeth extracted and a new haircut. Her personality continues to shine. She is very inquisitive and loves treats. She will sit for a treat but will benefit from training to help her learn the basic commands and to bond with her new family. It is hard to believe that Dory was neglected because she is such a lover. She is being treated for dermatitis and has several patches of missing hair. Her skin is already looking so much better and when her coat comes back it is super soft and fluffy. Dory does gets a little anxious when her people leave the room and gets very excited when you come back. Hopefully this will lessen as she gets more comfortable with her new home and routines. Dory sleeps in bed with her fosters and is not crated during the day. She is great with other dogs and scores a 10 out of 10 from the groomer.
Dory is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and spayed. Her new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.
Dory's adoption fee is $300. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Dory fill out an Online Application today!
Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
