Meet Ellie

Like the majority of cats that ARF-IL has rescued, Ellie’s time at the shelter was running out. The call went out to the fosters, asking to rescue this friendly girl, whose stay would be up the following day.

This didn’t sit well with her now foster dad, who saw a loving kitten at the beginning of her life. And loving she is. From the moment ARF picked her up, to now being in a foster home, Ellie shows nothing but affection to her humans.

You’ll often hear about rescued animals who “know” they’ve been saved, and show their gratitude by expressing their love intensely. This is the case with Ellie. She cuddles and rubs up against everyone she meets. She adores being pet, to the point where she can be directed by moving your hand to the place you want her to be. And just when you think you’ve given her enough pets, she’ll stand up on her hind legs, grab your hand with both her front paws, and “ask” for more.

Ellie also likes to give “kisses” (OK, they’re really licks) to show her love. She has been a bundle of joy to have, and will no doubt be a wonderful companion to someone.

Ellie is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained.

Ellie's adoption fee is $135. ; If you are interested in meeting Ellie, please fill out our Online Application today!

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
