Meet Tora

Tora is such a kind soul! He was abandoned by his owners and lived outside for a few years, finally being picked up by a wonderful animal control officer, and was quickly pulled into rescue for transport up to ARF. While we don’t know everything Tora braved outdoors, we know he is now a great house cat!

Tora spends his days napping by the window, up in his cat tree, or sprawled out on the carpet in the hallway. He likes to watch mouse videos on YouTube, scratch on cardboard, and play with toys under a blanket.

Tora loves all the rubs and pets from his foster. Tora even rolls onto his back for belly rubs. He absolutely loves to be held and carried around. Tora really enjoys being pampered too! He loves getting brushed, pet, and bathed. Yes, that’s right..he actually enjoys the bath. His fur is feathery soft as a result.

Despite living outside for a few years, Tora never stopped longing for an indoor life, and he maintained all of his indoor kitty skills! Tora wants a home with an owner who will give him the indoor cat life he deserves after all those nights outside prior to rescue. He will be sure to be by your side, in a not so needy way, as he really just wants to be near someone! He would be best as the sole king in his castle.

Tora is the most gentle, loving cat I have ever fostered. Please consider adopting sweet Tora and giving him the desired companionship that was once taken away from him.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
