Meet Floyd

Our names are Chester and Floyd. We are a bonded brotherly duo, and we are ready to bring a lifetime of joy and love to your home! We've been together through thick and thin, so we are a package deal.

Floyd: I'm Floyd, and I'm super excited to tell you about my brother Chester. Chester is the "yin" to my "yang." While we are both very affectionate and laid-back and always ready for a snuggle, Chester is a bit more reserved than I am. He’ll want to get to know you before he opens up, but when he does... lucky you! He’ll transform into the sweetest cuddler (even more cuddly than me). He’ll lay on your lap all day if you want him to. (Just give him a few days to get acclimated.)

Chester: Floyd is just the absolute best boy you could ever know. He's loyal through and through. He's also a perfect complement to me. Not timid at all, he will just saunter right up to you and kindly suggest you give him some pets and scratches! If you decide to welcome us into your home-and we really hope you do-he'll likely start exploring right away. Did I mention his adorable meow? His meow is sweet and melodic, and you'll most likely hear it when he is blissed out or politely requesting a bit of love.

I imagine you'd also like to know if we play well with others. The answer is an enthusiastic y-e-s! In our foster home, we shacked up with two big dogs. Floyd became best friends with them…Chester tolerated them, but warmed up near the end. And we know we’d get along great with kids too!

If you have a cat-loving heart and are ready for a delightful duo to add sparkle and joy to your life, please fill out an application for us. You will be so very happy you did.

Chester & Floyd are micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained.

Chester & Floyd's combined adoption fee is $270 If you are interested in meeting Chester & Floyd, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

All pets adopted from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation include the following as part of their adoption fee:

  • Spay/neuter or a certificate for a low-cost spay/neuter when medically recommended
  • Microchip and registration, a permanent identification to reunite lost pets with their owners
  • Initial de-worming and flea and tick treatment
  • Age-appropriate testing for heartworm/FIV-FELV
  • Age-appropriate vaccines
  • Pre-adoption medical exam
  • A certificate for a free healthy pet exam at one of A.R.F.’s participating veterinarians within 7 days of adoption
  • Offer for a no-risk 30 day free trial with Trupanion pet medical insurance

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
