Meet Crush
Hello, my name is Crush. I am a lab mix boy weighing in at 26 pounds and approximately 4 months old.
I’m a typical puppy - I love to play, cuddle and give lots of kisses. I’m very food motivated which is helping me with training at my foster home. I already know how to sit, wait patiently for my treats, working on come when called (but that seems to be easy as I love my humans and will follow them everywhere) and also working on walking on the leash.
I would love to have a doggo brother or sister as I really like to feel I’m a part of a pack. At my foster home I follow my foster brothers everywhere, seriously I’m basically their shadow. If they eat I’ll eat, If they sleep well I sleep too…. Everything they do I’ll do it. What can I say I really love to hang out with them and my foster mom thinks that’s how I’m learning how good boys behave. It’s been two weeks without accidents at home, when I need to go outside I sit nicely by the door and I sleep in my crate during the night.
I need lots of exercise as I have tons of energy. I would love to have a fenced yard as I really like to run around or just enjoy the sunshine. For now I’m also learning not to chew on things. My foster mom says it’s easy to train me as I’m very smart and kind of understanding what “no” means, and also I love to please my humans. I really enjoy being pet and get lots of attention.
As you can see I’m not only a handsome and good looking boy, I’m also very smart and will love my humans with all my heart.
This pup is micro-chipped and up to date on all vaccinations, and neutered. The new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. The pup's adoption fee is $375. Please note ARF does not approve applications for any puppy under 6 months of age to families that live outside of Illinois and/or beyond 100 miles of Wheaton or Glen Ellyn, IL. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting this pup fill out an online application today! https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/ Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting. ARF is an all volunteer organization. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved. Thank you for your patience!

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
