Meet Reno

My foster mom and dad tell me I’m trouble (but in a good way, of course!).  I like to open doors, open cabinets, and crawl into things I’m not supposed to.  My first ten minutes in my foster home I opened a cabinet and crawled into a drawer, then meowed to get out.  A couple hours later I had opened five cabinets... and some of them were pretty high!  I know how to push lever door knobs to get out of my room.  I can also open doors with my foot if they aren’t closed properly. My foster mom and dad can’t wait to hear the stories of all the things I will do in my new house once I’m adopted.  They think I’m the type of cat to try and dart out a door- so my adopter must be pretty careful when entering and exiting the house.

I’m highly curious and extremely intelligent (of course I’m not bragging).  I’m VERY active and tons of fun.  I’m also very outgoing, friendly and loveable.  I promise if you adopt me you will definitely know you have a cat because I want to be around you all the time!  I will rub against your legs constantly and ask for affection.

I would love to have someone willing to play with me a lot and tire me out.  I’m great with dogs and I am friendly towards kids!  I have met some cats at my foster parents house and was okay with them, but I might have a lot of energy for some of them.   I really am the perfect cat if you’re willing to put up with my cat shenanigans!

Reno is a 2 year old male who is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained.

Reno's adoption fee is $110.  If you are interested in meeting Reno, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

  • Age-appropriate vaccines
  • Pre-adoption medical exam
  • A certificate for a free healthy pet exam at one of A.R.F.’s participating veterinarians within 7 days of adoption

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
