Meet Dusty

Have you been thinking about how much you love kittens, but just wish they made them a little bigger? Meet Dusty! At one year old, his personality screams kitten but his manners tell a story of a well behaved (and well adjusted) cat. Those who meet Dusty are surprised to find he’s ever had a bad day in his life – he always exudes such happiness and confidence, you’d never know that he once found himself at Chicago Animal Control when his owners moved and could not take him (or his seven animal siblings) with them.

But those days are behind him! Dusty has been spending his time in foster making his holiday wish list and at the top he wrote ‘my forever family.’ Things he wanted everyone (including Santa) to know is that 1) He has lived with other cats and will likely get along well with others following proper introduction 2) He likes dogs 3) He thinks kiddos are the best.

Dusty is making sure he stays on the ‘Nice List’ by spending his time playing with toys, looking out the windows and soliciting lots of snuggles and scratches from his foster family. He is great with the litter box and loves all wet/dry food. If you’re interested in learning more about Dusty, please let us know!

Dusty is a one year old male who is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained.

Dusty's adoption fee is $110.  If you are interested in meeting Dusty, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
