Meet Schroeder and PigPen

These adorable babies are Schroeder and PigPen from the Peanuts gang!  These 2 sweet boys were found outside on the streets of rural Indiana when a kind couple trapped them and brought them into their home to foster them.  The boys were VERY scared – they had never been around humans before.  They have made amazing progress and are super sweet kittens now.  They love to have their bellies rubbed and will purr in your arms all day long if you let them.

Schroeder and PigPen have been in our care for a couple of weeks and no longer run and hide from people, however sometimes they forget that they are brave when meeting new people.  We think they would do fine in a home with older children.  They LOVE to play!   They will chase feather wand toys and sparkle balls and plastic springs.  Schroeder and PigPen are around 4 months old.

Schroeder has less white on his face.  PigPen has white all around his nose and his face is rounder.  These 2 brothers have been through a lot together, and they really depend on each other.  They look to each other for security, so we are looking for a home that will take these 2 boys home as a pair.  We believe it is in their best interest to go to a forever home together so we will not be splitting them up.

The boys are both micro-chipped, neutered and up to date on their vaccines.  With your adoption you will receive a certificate for a free exam at one of our veterinary partners.  The kittens have both learned how to sit nicely for nail trims and love cat trees and scratching posts.  They may not be declawed.

You can check out facebook.com/Kittenville.il where their foster mom has documented their time in foster care.

Schroeder and Pigpen's adoption fee is $300.  If you are interested in meeting Schroeder and PigPen, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
