Meet Waldo

Where’s Waldo? He’s cuddling on the couch, snuggled in his doggie bed or sniffing like a regal hound in the yard!

Meet Waldo, a handsome 2-3 year old beagle who weighs 27 pounds. He is sleek and smart, and will make a wonderful companion for the right family willing to commit to lots of love and most importantly, patience with this special guy.

Waldo has so much to offer! He is house-trained and is good on the leash and in the car. He gets along with other dogs and kids, and is a very gentle soul like most beagles are. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, however, he is tentative to trust and is only comfortable being petted once he knows he is safe and won’t be hit.

Sweet Waldo must’ve had a very rough early life, but he is now coming out of his shell and learning that a family is all about love and fun! Through no fault of his own, Waldo was returned to ARF, but his foster mom and dad are confident that the right family will fall in love with this dapper chap in a heartbeat!

It’s important that Waldo’s family know that he is very nervous when quickly approached and even leery if someone watches him eat. He is so sweet-just simply scared. He also doesn’t like loud noises and he does not fit in with city life. But, he is happy hanging out in his fosters’ yard with their dogs and then cuddling together with the dogs on the couch. As such, Waldo will need a fenced yard and likely a gentle doggie pal to keep him company. He is such a good boy that he can be trusted to be loose in the house all day and night! Why, the worst thing he has ever done is sneak off and onto the couch with his foster mom’s slippers!

If you think you are the right match for Waldo, then hold onto your heart, because he is about to steal it!

Waldo is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and neutered.  Waldo's new family will be required to complete an obedience training course of their choosing.

Waldo's adoption fee is $300.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Waldo fill out an Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
