Meet Crispin

This beautiful kitten is Crispin! She was born in foster care on 9/12/19 and was part of a litter of 5. She was adopted at 9 weeks old, but has recently come back to us as she was completely terrified of the puppies in her new home. Her adopters tried very hard to help her acclimate to the home and the dogs, but in the end, they decided it was in her best interest to have a home without dogs and they returned her back to us so we could make that happen.

Crispin Apple is a gorgeous floofy little bear who is now about 4.5 months old. She is mostly black with a wee spot of white on her belly. She is so sweet and special. She is such a great cuddler and loves to play with crinkle balls. She enjoys sleeping in her little cave in her tower and loves to climb the tower too! She is very friendly and affectionate – always seeking out people. Her previous home included 2 teenagers who spoiled her rotten! She would do great in a home with another cat given a proper introduction period (ps – cats generally do not like each other right away. If you want to integrate a new cat into your home it’s a process that requires patience. Check out Jackson Galaxy, a cat behaviorist for tips on how to make this a successful process! https://www.jacksongalaxy.com/blog/cat-introductions-part-1-before-the-introduction/)

Crispin is a 4.5 month old female (as of 1/30/2020) who is microchipped, spayed and up to date on her vaccines. With your adoption you will receive a certificate for a free exam at one of our veterinary partners.

Crispin's adoption fee is $125.  If you are interested in meeting Crispin, please fill out our Online Application today!   You can check out facebook.com/Kittenville.il where her foster mom has documented her time in foster care.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
